Hide-And-Kill

Chapter Seven

I walked along the black road, checking behind myself every now and then to make sure I don't get assassinated.

"Find me," The Painless echoed. "I bet you can't."

Damn you, I thought.

Don't let him get to you, Timothy, said The Elder. Just follow my instructions. Do you see any rock formation in the form of The Soldier?

Yes.

Follow the path that it's halberd is pointing.

Got it. I ran to the rock and peered up. The halberd was pointing to my left, so I ran. Then the ground began to shake. Damn! The halberd was now pointing in the opposite direction.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," mused The Painless in a sing-song voice. "You can never catch me."

Once I do, I'm making you drink this holy water, you rotten piece of crap, I thought. I looked behind a rock and saw Natalie's body. Dammit! He's tryin' to screw with my head. I ignored the body and kept going. I glanced behind another and saw The Painless's face. The stitches around his right eye were pulled open, revealing it. Some of his skull was showing through the rotten flesh of his face. Maggots were crawling out of the holes in his neck and mouth. I saw who he had captive: The Elder.

"Live or die, Timothy," The Painless whispered. "Shall I kill him now, or devour his soul one bit at a time?" He laughed maniacally.

The End
