Fujitsu glanced around. He, too, was now noticing how everything was... Darker, per se. It was a pretty dark atmosphere, one that he usually felt whenever something bad had already happened. He suddenly took Aria's suggestion fully to mind.
Fujitsu slid off his trunk onto the road, opened it, and started searching for something. It was only about ten seconds before his eye caught a box with traditional Eastern art of people drinking tea on it. He grasped it and and, with a big breath, opened it; his suspicions appeared confirmed: Among the eight small tea cups within the box, the one that he had used for a drink earlier in the morning was cracked.
"Aria," Fujitsu said.
"What is it?" she asked.
Fujitsu turned to her with a serious look on his face and showed her the cup. "I think we need to get to the palace immediately."
"Okay, but what does the-"
"Last time I had a tea cup cracked like this somebody important in the village near my master's temple died," he said, cutting across Aria. "Notice the atmosphere of this place. We need to see if anything happened."
