Click just shrugged at that comment. If he was in a fight with a woman or a man out to kill him, he'll run, if he can't, he'll go for the most vulnerable spot he can. Wars don't have rules, they have survivors.
He looked down to see Karkid looking up at him. The pair silently watched each other for a moment before anyone did anything.
"Why are you 'studying' me." Click said, carefully choosing his words to match what he read.
Karkid's body language changed slightly.
"You want to know why someone likes me? Isn't obvious."
He shook his head.
"Your supposed to say yes."
"Fine, whatever, who?"
"Oh, her." He looked at Kara, "Well," he looked around to make sure no one was watching them and headed out of earshot, Karkid followed. He then knelt down and looked at him.
"Can you keep a secret?"
"What do you mean you can't?"
He tried to answer.
"Well, you can't exactly talk, so I doubt that'll happen."
Karkid squeeked angrily.
"Sorry, jeesh. Well, look, even if she likes me-" He hesitated for a second, "Don't beleive the hype. I have enough people looking at me like the messiah, and even if it's my own fault, I'd rather have someone look at me like a normal person."
Karkid nodded, sort of smiling. At least, it looked like smiling. The pair headed back to the group, Click not sure if he just made a Stygian his soul-confident or not.
