Outside Aged Mansion
Hyperion shook his head. "Not a very patient person, are you? Very well, if you want answers that badly, I'll tell you."
Conrad watched as Hyperion opened the door to the mansion. "I don't know how I can explain this without you thinking me a loon, but remember when I said you were from the future to Captain Dronel?"
Conrad nodded. "Yes, and that put me in quite a fine mess. I hope you're happy."
Hyperion sighed. "What if I told you that that wasn't a lie? That you, and all of Elarin, for that matter, aren't even from this time period? That when Elarin sank beneath the waves, it also sank through a rift in time?"
Conrad just stared at Hyperion, in disbelief. "You are a loon."
Hyperion laughed. "Told you. No other way to explain it. Does that answer your question? If not, too bad, because I am also an impatient person when there is a deadline to be met, and if we wait any longer, that deadline will be missed, and you will have a very miffed time mage... which is something you will regret for the rest of your days.
Escartes Castle Garden
Aria waited for the others to show up. She had no idea where Fujitsu went off to, nor did she have the slightest clue as to where Click was, but she did know that Kara was off playing with the Stygian. Aria found that a bit... disturbing. But, then again, Kara was a Lamia, so it wasn't too hard to figure out.
However, Aria found something a bit off. The Stygian... she felt as if she knew it from somewhere. But how could that be? She never met a Stygian face to face save for the time when her village was attacked. Why would she become friends with one of the creatures that destroyed her life? Still, the creature felt... familiar somehow.
Aria shook her head. "Damn... I've been thinking a lot lately." She knew only one thing: that the Stygians didn't exist until around fifteen years ago, roughly around the same time Xeranad began his reign of conquest.
"Xeranad..." Aria thought out loud. "What are you after? Why are you doing this?" She sighed. "More questions that I will ask him the next time I see him."
