Forest of Ecwodar

"Oh dear... it seems you could use a little bit of help." Before Conrad stood a young man of about 28, with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a strange colored outfit: sky blue with light orange and black highlights. He wore a top hat on is head and carried a pocket watch. He looked straight into Conrad's eyes.

"Who are-"

The man interrupted. "Forgive my rudeness, but I'm afraid we do not have time for introductions. One moment." He snapped his fingers, and the Stygians that were chasing the squad immediatly froze. The man returned his attention to Conrad.

"Okay, now is the time for introductions. My name is Hyperion Tempus, the current time mage. As you can see, I have the power to manipulate the fabric of time. I can speed it up, or slow it down, or stop entirely, but I myself am immune to my own powers, therefore time itself passes me by." Conrad stood there, dumbstruck.

"As for you, you are Conrad, correct? I have a present for you. You told me to give you this." Hyperion pulled out a gauntlet with claws attached to the fingers. "A weapon your future self used. The Ghost Claw: a powerful weapon capable of rendering the soul out of a Stygian's body, but is useless against most other races. And this is for future needs." He pulled out a bag filled with talons... a good 200 of them. "Use them well. And with that, I'm off." Hyperion turned around and seemed to vanish.

The Spire of Kandrakar - Entrance Hall

"Ugh..." Xeranad ran his fingers through his snow white hair. How did he know? How did know about my cursed past? Xeranad seethed with anger. And how did that girl survive? Even if someone in that room had the Painside ability, she should still have become a pile of ashes... it is probably all my travelling around took a toll on this form of mine. I need to rest a bit.

"Heheheheeeeeh... sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Xeranad looked and saw his court mage, Katalina de Firenze, dressed in her usual tacky manner.

"Now is not the time for this, Kata. My muscles ache and I feel like I've aged a century. This is the worst possible time for you to try to entertain me." Xeranad turned around and walked away. "If you need me, I'll be in my private quarters, tidying myself up. I feel terrible, so the least I can do is make sure I don't look terrible."

Escartes Castle - Hospital Bay

Aria started to wake up. "Damn you, Xeranad. Damn you to hell..."
