The Senate of Mind

One

The Senate of Mind shall now convene.  Matters of consideration are as follows: The emotional standing of one Ashley Bauer and resultant complications of Heart; Relations and/or emotional standing with one Marie Callahan; Heart demands another lust purge; Time grants for piano practice over the next several weeks; Time grant for discussion with one Meg Evans; Time grant reduction for Personal Pluralities Committee (with emphasis upon Facebook Sector); The current state of Heart and any complications thereof.

The Senate of Mind shall now be seated.

-

First Order: The emotional standing of one Ashley Bauer and resultant complications of Heart.

Speaker: It has been realized that a state of change is occuring in Heart with relation to Ashley Bauer.  Is there unanimity in the Senate?

All: There is.

Speaker: In regards to the nature of change, how does the Senate find?

Senator 1: Sire, it is inarguable that the strength of emotional desire for Ashley Bauer in realtion to Heart has been diminished.  To what extent has yet to be discovered.  Physical desire remains constant despite this, sire.

Speaker: In regards to the subsequent effect on Heart, how does the Senate find?

Senator 1: Sire, Heart no longer reports of suffering.  However, fog and smoke are oft' complained of.  Residents of Heart are unable to accurately report their state of comfort, sire.

Speaker: Has an action or series of actions been outlined in relation to this issue?

Senator 1: Sire, there has not.  By a two-thirds majority, the Senate has voted to presently pass on action until such a time when Heart may elicit an accurate report on its state of comfort regarding this issue, sire.

Speaker: Very well.  Action shall be passed in regards to The emotional standing of one Ashley Bauer and resultant complications of Heart.

-

Second Order: Relations and/or emotional standing with one Marie Callahan.

Speaker: It has been realized and fully accepted that a falling-out has occured with one Marie Callahan.  Is there unanimity in the Senate?

All: There is not.

Speaker: What does the Senate find on these grounds?

Senator 1: Sire, I might propose that "falling-out" is connotative of poor relations.  Heart reports that relations are not compromised, but simply altered, Sire.

Senator 2: Sire, Heart has also ceased its requests for time grants in relation to Marie Callahan.  It is possible that bitterness will ensue, Sire.

Speaker: Seeing as bitterness is a matter to be dealt with in the future, the Senate shall neglect this issue for now.  In substitute for the term "falling-out" (to avoid negative emotional connotations), the issue will hence be termed as an "altered relation".  Is there unanimity in the Senate?

All: There is.

Speaker: In regards to emotional standing with Marie Callahan, how does the Senate find?

Senator 1: Sire, Heart has not issued an official notification on the emotional standing of Marie Callahan.  There is still dispute to be settled regarding the pursuit of romantic relationship versus the pursuit of friendship.  Physicalities remain, sire.

Speaker: Then it is agreed that neither romantic relationship nor satisfaction of said physicalities shall be expressly pursued at the expense of friendship.  The Senate shall stand by for further notification from Heart.  Is there unanimity in the Senate?

All: There is.

Speaker: Upon the agreement and approval of these settlements by the Emperor, Heart shall be notified.  The Senate of Mind will now dismiss for a short recess, after which the rest of these matters of consideration will be addressed.

The Senate of Mind shall now be dismissed.

The End
