Run after the 'thing'.

You run after the 'Thing' down the stairs.

In your basement, there is no light. You stumble around looking for a switch, but just end up falling on the ground.

From across the room you can hear a scratching and a groaning cry. The cry is trembling the room as you stand up. The sound of it alone makes something in you curl up terrified, and yet your body doesn't show any of it.

You step forward slowly hoping to catch an outline of it. As you approach you trip on a metal pipe on the floor and land only 5 feet away from the thing.

You face the ground in the dark, thinking of what to do next.

radlord "I may need an edit button soon, lest I make even more of an arse of myself with my awful spelling and typing."
