The Druids

Felix tried to get some rest but the scream haunted him, he closed his eyes but images of Dante being pursued kept him from sleep. He was drifting in and out of consciousness, but then a second scream pierced the tranquil atmosphere. Felix couldn't bear to hear the man that was, sort of, his ally in pain. He leapt to his feet and picked up the closest thing he had to a weapon. He stormed into the misty Labyrinth of trees, stumbling blindly onwards. The trees were cold and clammy, and moist but the liquid had congealed and felt like blood. A screech shuddered through the air next to him, but it stopped abruptly as the mist swiftly dispatched of the terrifying death-throes that emanated from the dying bird. Felix pushed onwards brandishing his lengthy wooden branch, and then a cold laugh cut through the silence. The voice was harsh and cruel but he recognised it as the voice of Dante. The voice issued a painful chuckle and then "So Felix Johnson, how are you enjoying this trip? I certainly think you must be enjoying it. I arranged for you to be drawn here so I could despatch of you and win this zone for myself. Of course it won't be fair on you but sacrifice makes the world go round. Now I've really got to go and start my new empire so I'll leave you to the mercy of my little friend." Felix clutched the branch tighter; as the mist seemed to be closing he heard a sound. Although he heard the sound, the mist had warped the flight of the sound and so he didn't know in which way it was going to strike. He braced himself, and then the mist behind him parted just in time for him to see a panther sailing through the air poised to strike with its sabre like claws...

As the beast closed the ground between them all Felix could do was raise his make-shift club futilely. Felix closed his accepting the end; he said prayers in his mind while his life flashed before his eyes. The panther landed this time Felix was within jumping distance. It jumped and its cleaver claws stretched out, and then Bang! Felix was sure he was dead meat but the pain never came slowly he opened his eyes; the panther was nowhere to be seen! He blinked, he did a double take still the beast was not visible. Felix was suddenly aware how cold it was. Despite this he had been sweating and the sweat turned icy cold and he dropped his branch only for it to hit something. He looked down to see the panther with a look of surprise on its face and an arrow jutting through its chest. Felix recoiled in horror but then realised who ever shot the arrow wasn't trying to kill him or he would already be dead. He glanced around nervously and called out, his voice straining with tension, "Hello? Is anyone there? Nope, I'll, ermmmm, just be going now." Felix turned with so much speed he overbalanced and nearly fell straight into the hooded pale man who was covered in blue intricate tattoos. Felix slipped backwards and landed on his butt...

The man helped Felix up, he then proceeded to talk in a gibberish that sounded like "gweeeeelllshin callwish naaaaaaaaackforgees cccccccccccooooooooommmmeeee gweee tttttttttttooooooooooooooo ouuuuurrrr bbbbaaasseee." The man kept repeating the same phrase while Felix stared blankly when the man was saying it again he heard "...callwish now weary traveller come to our shrine for shelter." Felix said curiously, "Please repeat, I'm a little dazed after my injury from hitting my head. " The man replied, "Are you O.K, now weary traveller come to our shrine for shelter." The man expertly weaved in and out of the twisted maze of the forest, nimbly stepping over hidden roots and ducking under branches. Felix wandered with out sight hitting into every object that came across his path. After ten minutes of solid walking, Felix was starting to get apprehensive Has he taken a wrong turn? Is he going to sacrifice me? Wait the fog is clearing...Hey is that music? Then Felix was sure of the music and the forest ended abruptly and gave way to rolling lumpy hills that were green, really green, natural green. The air was clear no pollution. And the ground had rocks jutting up from the ground at random intervals.  There just in front of him was a Stonehenge like structure with a large blood/sacrificial stone.
