"This is where you always go to?" Rio, Leon's older sister, sucked on a lolipop. With dark brown hair and eyes, she considered the girl, laying in the hospital bed.
"Yeah. Mira, this is my sister, Rio. I brought her to see you. She works part time in an nursery close by. I told you, remember?" He whispered. Rio bit her cheek. She had been told by her father to make sure Leon wasn't going out and doing what he shouldn't be. This was not what she expected.
"You've been coming to see a dead girl?" She asked, hands on hips.
"She's not dead Rio." Leon told her sharply. "She's been sleeping for a year and a bit. She's in a coma."
"Leon, sweetie, you can't keep coming here all your life. Her parents will probably take her off of life support, and then she'll-"
"Stop it." Leon gripped Mira's hand, and placed a dafodil on her bedside, where the white book still resided. He glared at his sister. "Rio, she's going to wake up. Believe me."
Rio sighed, and put her hand on his shoulder. "Baby...just...don't get your hopes to high, alright?" She walked away after that. Leon didn't watch her go.
