The misadventures of little Carson

Here we go again, thought little Carson, getting ready to endure another boring English lesson.  Mr Droner was having a Shakespearean fit again, as he lectured on the clever use of subjunctive clauses in Hamlet and the important role these clauses play in functional grammar.  Little Carson glanced around and saw 28 other deathly pale zombie-like faces in a vegetative state.  Only Electra, the top girl in class, seemed to be anywhere near conscious.

This was when little Carson decided to do something to save the class.
