3 - Well, that hurtMature

"Not much. Spoke to one of the necromancers then went out with Gryph," I said. "We had to leave our territory. There was nothing, we drained it dry the other night when we all went out."

"I told you not to leave the territory," he muttered angrily but composed himself before continuing. "Are you and Gryph...?"

"No way, he's got Kaida."

"So you're single then?"

"Yup. Why're you asking?"

"Just wondering. How do you view me? A father figure, a brother?"

"Although technically you're my vampyre-father, I don’t see you as such. I just see you as a really good friend."

"Too much of a friend?"

"Cosmo, are you asking me out?" I asked.

He leaned over and kissed me gently.

"Cosmo?" I whispered.

"Yeah?" he whispered back.

"Are you messing with me?"

He kissed me again, for longer this time.

"I'll take that as a no then."

"Blaze, I love you. Ever since I turned you I've loved you, and even a bit before that."

"I love you too. I always have. That's I followed you that night, so long ago. I followed you and you tore my throat out."

"Sorry about that," he said, chuckling darkly.

"I don't care. I get to spend eternity with you don't I?"

"You most certainly do."

And again he kissed me. It was soft and warm and gentle upon my lips, as if he were afraid of hurting me.

He pulled me closer to him. I was sat sideways on the couch, so was he. He kissed me. It was fiercer than it had been previously. He leant into me, pushing me onto my back on the couch. I wrapped my legs around him. He pressed against me, moving into me.

His hands were on my hips. He squeezed a bit too hard. I felt the bones in my pelvis shatter. I gasped and bit my bottom lip to stop from shrieking.

"What's wrong?" he demanded.

"My pelvis."

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry."

He carefully unwrapped my legs from his waist and came and sat on the floor next to the couch. He stroked my cheek and wouldn't stop apologising. After about ten minutes, the bones had fixed themselves.

I slowly sat up, and then stood. I fell but Cosmo was there to catch me. He smiled at me and apologised again. He helped me stand and then walk like I was a little baby who was just learning.

The End
