So much research, so many deaths.  it was decided, the tree had to go.  It was decided no one should hear that song again.

It was also decided to send a team, between the eight or nine men, it was felt the job would be done.

The tree stood majestic and beautiful, it swayed and vibrated, it's leaves shook but, not one of them heard the song..

With a soft hiss, the tree gave up it's spiritual life.  It had done the work it was to do.  There had been a couple that had heard the song..

They would never forget it..

"One of the workers hummed a song as they brought the tree down, another listened, and asked what it was.. It was the Lullabye Song, in full."

"That was the end of the Lullabye Tree, in it's place a plaque dedicated to the ones that had passed away."

I had already added guidance, I thought.. hmmm, anyway, I believe we all had a favorite tree, I did , if you post, just add in the tree.. and whatever story you have to tell.. this is soo aggravating.. I can't remember.. shucks! Ok.. one thing I do want to say, if you do post, please add the tree and the song.. that's not too much to ask....is it??? This is a slight update, THX made a point, and I don't want to be restrictive so, my intention has been leaning towards the Tree being that final place of rest, comfort, peace, final sleep, for people who have had it rough and see no hope.. but I love what Bill wrote and THX so.. I don't know, ok I'm stuck.. hmm The Lullabye Tree has been chopped down, thank you to the ones that posted... I am putting this in as an after thought.. I should have made it a solo story.
