Eric pushed me in the ambulance, supporting me in his arms. My eyes were wide open staring into his, as if I could see his soul.
"Should I tell her, Ma-mom?" My voice was hoarse, I coughed.
"Do whatever you need to do sweetie. I'm glad you told me though." Marie patted my back.
I closed my eyes and sighed. It was going to be hard..telling Kyles. Of course she was my best friend and all, so it didn't feel right keeping it from her. Not when my life was at stake.
"Bring her in." I commanded. My mom kicked on her shoes and stood up, heading into the lobby to catch Kylie.
"Kyles, Kylie, I have to tell you something." Her face scrunched up with confusion. I could almost here her thoughts. Oh, what now? She almost died and she wants tp tell me-a secret? Couldn't she have done it earlier?
"Sure, Rosie. You can tell me anything." She pulled my hair out of my face.
"Kylie, when I tell you this, you have to promise not to tell anyone else. No matter what. I already told my mom and I'm about to tell you. When you're at my funeral, when I die, you can tell everyone, but just not now." Kylie looked taken aback my words, exspecially 'die.'
"Kylie I have cancer."
