The Honeymoon

Landon woke feeling groggy. He wondered what the hell he'd been drinking the night before, he couldn't remember anything. His eyes lulled into focus on an attractive woman next to him in his bed, he started and went to get out of bed but his legs wouldn't move.

His wriggling made the woman turn towards him. She was tied at the hands and feet, Landon asumed this was the reason he couldn't move.

"Ollie." she hissed. Landon blinked, trying to organise the haze of his thoughts. How did she know his name? Even his mother called him Landon now. "Ollie. For God's sake! What is happening?" She looked vaguely familiar, but he wouldn't go as far as to say he recognised her. A strange noise was throbbing through his brain, it sounded like a massive vacum cleaner with a pulsing heartbeat.

"Where am I?" He managed to squeeze out.

"That's what I need you to tell me! Are you on drugs? What have you done?" The woman was angry, she glared at him accusingly. Landon had no idea what he had done.

"Who are you?" he whispered, nervous that whoever had tied them up was still close by.

"Who am I?" Her voice rose to a squeak. "What do you mean who am I? Stop dicking about. What are we going to do?" Landon was entirely confused. The last thing he remembered was leaving his house in his favourite hat.

"I really can't understand what is... " he looked at her face. She was clearly terrified. he had to be a strong man. "I think I've been spiked with something. I can't think properly. I really don't know who you are or what is going on."

"Oh God Ollie. What have they done to you? It's me, Anna." Landon blinked blankly. "Your wife Ollie. I'm your wife." Landon closed his eyes in confusion. He was almost sure he wasn't married.

There was a swishing noise as a curtain was pulled back, light flooded into Landon's eyes as he opened them making them useless for looking. He heard the woman screaming and then a thud followed by silence.

"What are you doing to my wife?!" he shouted blindly, struggling against his bonds. He felt a stong grip on his shoulder and thrust against it but seconds later he felt his consiousness slippiing away. "No... Anna... wait..." His mumblings trailed off as he passed out.

The Invigilator popped his head through the curtain and loosened the woman's ties.

"Nice scene Companion." The Invigilator smiled, " did you hear that? 'What are you doing to my wife?'. Brilliant! You've got a great 'angry wife' face!" Liz laughed.

"Poor bloke." she said as she hauled herself into the main body of the jet. "I bet he had no idea what he was signing up for!"

"Him and the rest of us." the Funds Handler growled. He was feeling air-sick and was not in a good mood.

"We'll land in approximately eighteen minutes." The Pilot announced through the intercom.

"Peru here we come." the Companion said excitedly. "I can't wait to see my wardrobe! Mrs Landon wants to get a tan!"
