After leaving Greta's house, Lucia headed for the research laboratories. She picked up a magnifying glass and some paper. She threw them in a room she'd showered with Petroleum and ran for her life outside. The place was soon completely alight. It was not, however, the flames from the research building that alerted the townsfolk, but the intense fire of the dry grass field next to it.
Lucia sat on the hills and watched the chaos below. When they pulled her hard-working father out of the building, fresh from his fiery grave, she ran away, and no-one from that little town saw or heard from her again.
