The Forgotten Rise of Sunset City

1989

The clouds streaked aross the sky in violet and pink; violent flames of red lit the sky on fire.

Sunset city lies around me, lustrous and lilac.

Cracks line the peeling paint, and dusty paths are crimson, the cobbled roads are puce and beige. Ivy crawls into the open windows.

The forgotten town sleeps under a blazing heat, a small fiesta that doesn't end.Dust motes swirl in the gentle breeze, whistling through the ragged curtains.

The End
