"And why are you out this late?" Arden asked, as I met him in the lobby. "I just grabbed some coffee, and why are you up this late?" I asked.

"I was worried about you." He replied.

"Well, you don't have to Arden, I can handle myself." I said coldly and went off. Arden grabbed my hand and pulled me back, something I did not expect an acquaintance to do. "There's something bothering you, I feel it."

"No, I'm totally fine. Will you let me go now? Markus needs me."

"He's sleeping in your room right now, let's talk, anyways, we haven't had a proper conversation between the two of us."

"What are you trying to do Arden?"

"You don't trust me don't you."

I fell silent, I couldn't deny it anymore. "It is just that.." He placed his finger gently on my lips, making me stop. "You don't need to explain, I understand you."

Arden pulled me towards him and wrapped me in his shoulders. "I'll protect you and Markus, I promise."

I let my guard down for a moment, I have a feeling that I could trust him.

"I'll never leave your side Jane, never."
