The Long Daymature

DI Turner was sat at the computer, staring at Missing Persons reports from the last six months. None of the records matched the victim's face: young (Doc said 20-25), pretty and ginger. Her face was unique, a scar above her eye meaning that she would be recognisable anywhere. But, apparently not on the system. The scotch next to him was going down fast and he was slowly gettiing more and more annoyed. Who wouldn't report someone missing?

"What if she wasn't missing?"

"Wot?" came the drunken reply.

"All I mean is what if she isn't a missing person, just a dead girl in an alley."

"Good point!" Turner stumbled over to Jo, who was now looking very worried. "We need to find someone who knew her!! JO!! (she jumped) We need to walk the streets!!"

"I'm not dressing up!"

"Why not!? You've got a good arse!!"

She shook her head and walked out, leaving him confused and nauseus.

Virlandra was pacing the Turkish rug in her living room, waring parts of it thinner than her patience.

"Where is he!" she demanded from Jenna, her PE (Personal Everything!) "I need to know what is happening!"

Jenna pulled out ther Blackberry and tapped away while Virl destroyed the rug some more. "He's on his way back for  the drop off. I know he's late but there appears to have been a crash on the M1."

Virl scowled. She wasn't going to answer. He could have found an alternate route and notified me, she mused. Typical man, can't ask for anything!

"JO!!" called out Turner, "I'm sorry, you do have a great arse!!" He kissed her deeply, she responded just as passionatley. They would have gone elsewhere but they couldn't. Both their partners were home, waiting for them, longing for them.
