We were all sitting around the campfire. It was 9:17 pm. We were singing songs. Abbie had just finished singing 'How Many Roads Must a Man Walk Down' (or whatever it's called).
"Who's gunna sing now?" Max asked.
"Sara! You could sing that song from Spongebob! What's it called again? When they were camping outside his house" Ben suggested
"Oh! The Campfire Song Song! Yeah, that's a good one. You have to join in though"
"Alright. Everyone should've joined in by the end" I play an imaginary guitar while Ben goes 'dong-dong, dong-dong'. "Ehem. Let's gather round the campfire and sing our campfire song. Our C. A. M. P. F. I. R. E. S. O. N. G song. And if you don't think that we can sing it faster than you're wrong, but it'll help if you just sing along. Ben!" I sang.
"Bom bom, bom"
"C A M P F I R E S O N G song. C A M P F I R E S O N G song. And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong, but it'll help if you just sing along. Everyone!"
"C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G-song. C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G-song. And-if-you-don't-think-that-we-can-sing-it-faster-then-you're-wrong-but-it'll-help-if-you-just-sing-along!"
"It'l help! It'll help! If you just sing along! Oh yeah!" Ben pretended to smash my imaginary guitar.
"Wow. That was good." Abbie grinned.
"Why were we singing in an American accent?" Max asked. That made me burst into fits of laughter.
"Because..." I gasped through my giggles "Spongebob... is American"
"Oh. OK. What're we singing next? Something that'll make Sara stop laughing" and that made me laugh more.
