The Death of Something Brilliant
It was a star amongst the black blanket sky,
A diamond in the hands of a thief.
Known but unnoticed as the days went by;
The brilliance that once glowed, dimmed with grief.
The flower of its mind is wilted like its beholder,
Its originality is being mass produced.
The fiery spirit has started to smolder,
As the sinner watches happily and amused.
It was never meant too last forever.
There was no way it ever could.
But with great endeavor,
If it were ever possible, she actually would.
