Elizabeth was sure he could hear her, her heart had to be beating louder than a freight train, any second now he would open the door and he would cause her more pain. Her head throbbed at the memory of what he had done.
What made it worse was that this was all her fault, she couldn't help but think how things could have turned out, if only she hadn't pushed them. Because of her two of her friends were dead and she didn't know where James was or if he was still alive.
