I feel dizzy, my eyes open slowly before blinking several times. I rub the sleep out of my eyes and I look up. Not the same room I was in. The bed I slept in is clean and ironed, as if I was the only one who used it. The room is immaculate and a little dark for my own liking. I brighten it up, surprised to find that the pain in my neck is gone. I touch it gently, now it's just a mark. No one is in the room but me. I get out of the bed and test my legs, glad to find it strong. What am I doing here? Where is that guy who was next to me before. Then, as if to answer my question, he walks in.
"Oh!" He exclaims, "You're awake. How are you feeling?" I step back, afraid of what he might do.
"Who are you?" I ask, expressionless.
"I'm Ray. I...uh.. you.....um..you're a vampire now." My eyes narrow. A vampire?
"What do you mean?" I question him.
"I'm a vampire, and I had to change you. I'm so sorry. You didn't have a choice." Now he looks sad and guilty. You know in New Moon when Edward says goodbye to Bella in the forest? Yeah, like that, but his face is less contorted. I walk closer towards him, but still keeping my distance. "It was either this or you die."
"I'd have probably chosen this." I say after a pause, he looks straight into my eyes and I feel something weird in my chest.
