'What the... How did I get here? Who are you? What do you want from me?' The boy stopped me mid flow by putting his finger on my lips.
'Too many questions. It's my turn first.' He held out his hand. 'I'm Dominic and I need you.' That was a bit blunt.
'I'm sorry but I already have a boyfriend, so if you don't mind I'm going to be leaving here so I can go see him.'
'I'm sorry?!' How dare he tell me what I could and couldn't do.
'You can't leave here. You belong with us now.' I didn't quite know how to respond to that. 'I don't want to lie to you so I'll get straight to the point. I'm a vampire and I want you to become one too.'
'OK now I know you are kidding me! Vampires don't exist.'
'Yes they do, I'm one of them.'
'I was made a vampire 150 years ago when I was 18 and haven't aged since. You can be the same too. You can stay with me for eternity.'
'But I don't want to stay with you, I love Leo.'
'Leo doesn't matter -'
'Don't you dare tell me he doesn't matter. Everyone tells me he's bad news but I love him so therefore -' I was silenced as Dominic pressed his lips against mine. For a few milliseconds I was shocked then for a moment I was lost in his kiss. I quickly returned to my senses and gave him a good slap.
'Ow that hurt!'
'Good serves you right.'
'OK, I'm going to forget what's just happened and get back to buiness. What's your skill.'
'My skill?' Was this guy nuts. I wished I hadn't thrown my phoone away now.
'Yes. Are you a shapeshifter or telepathic or ...?' He looked at me expectantly. Maybe he knew about how I truely saw the world.
'There is this thing, I don't know if it's important but...'
'What is it?' His face looked so eager and childlike I couldn't help warming to it.
'People are different colours.' I blurted it out and realised how stupid it sounded. 'No let me re phrase that.' I started thinking very hard. Dominic laughed. 'What?!'
'Nothing, you just look so cute when you are thinking.' I restrained myself from hitting him again and re-thought my sentence.
'I see people's moods. They have different colours, like when they're happy they sort of glow a yellowy-orange colour and when they're sad they're more black. Do you understand me?'
'Yes I do.'
