You trip over something in the darkness

And find yourself falling, the darkness rushing past your face, choking you. Then as you feel the force of the darkness against your body increasing you realise you are nearing your doom.

You prepare yourself to die, but then you feel a change in the direction of the air around you as your wings unfold and begin to flap. Your soar back up and open your eyes, suddenly you realise that it wasn't dark you had simply not been looking.
