I take a few more steps in to the living room, the floor creaking beneath me. I stop right before the hallway, another creak sounds, as well as a somewhat quiet thud but the sound comes from behind me. I feel relieved just to see that its a squirrel that somehow made its way in.
"Don't get too comfortable Eden" I turn back toward the hallway to see someone dressed in black. There is something shiny in his hand that I can see out of the corner of my eye.
"How do you know my name?" His features seem as if they relax, his shoulders drop and I can see the knife clearly in his hand.
"Oh, Eden, it would have been so much easier if you had just left the stove on" He smirks as he walks toward me, with each step he takes forward I take two back. He laughs, as though he thinks he has me cornered.
"You never answered my question." My voice is weak, no matter how hard I try to keep it steady, it didn't work. Then I hear the the side door open, and a woman, wear black, with long dark hair walks in.
"Oh, Jeremy, I was so sure you would have already finished the job, we can't have someone like her walking on this plane for much longer." Her voice is so smooth, it's shocking.
"What Do you mean, someone like, me?"
