The Break Up
"Will you take me back?" the boy had asked, a pleading look on his face.
The girl was standing in front of him. Her mind reelling, memories of all the pain. All of the other girls she caught him with. All of the bruises and scars that she had to live with because of him. She remembered how this all began, how much she loved him in the beginning. How she held on to that for so long. But she's heard this speech too many times before.
"I'll never hurt you again."
So this time was different.
"No."
