At 22, with a great job, billions to inherit and a completely no-nonsense attitude; Ashley Ramirez goes bersek when her father, Ivan Ramirez bestows a bodyguard upon her. But Drue Leandra is no ordinary bodyguard and when he starts awakening new feelings in her, she realises a crazy nutter who wants to kill her might be the least of her worries. Dru though doesn't give a damn; he's in it for the money and the thrill....anything else Ashley had and was willing to offer was a bonus.

"You got me a what?" I said unable to believe what my father had just said. What was even harder to believe though was that he actually meant it.
"A body guard Ashley; I got you a bodyguard," he sighed as if totally bored by this discussion which ony made me angrier. How could he drop such a bombshell on me and loook all calm and collected and expect me to go along with it?
"And why the hell would you do that?"
"Language cherie. I told you; I need to make sure you're safe," he said as if that was explanation enough.
"What did you do?" I asked suspiciously, narrowing my eyes. The last time my dad had been this paranoid, he had pissed off some mafia leader. He wouldn't even get out of the house that time and I would be damned if I would have a repeat of that again.
"Nothing, what makes you say that?"
"Really dad? You're going to ask me that?"
"If I tell you, I'll put you in danger cherie; but trust me on this: you're going to need all the protection you can get. Please."
Now that was one word you never heard out of my father's mouth. Please and sorry were not part of his vocabulary and that he had said please right then made me pay more atttention. Maybe this was really serious than I had first thought. He had to be utterly terrified if he was going to plead with me.
"Fine...two weeks. I'm giving you two weeks to clean up your mess and then I want your leech off me."
My phone rang just before I could answer my dad. It was Lisa.
"Hey Lisa," I answered going out of my father's study.
"I need a favour," she said breathlessly.
My heart picked up a beat and I forced myself to calm down.
"Well...if a broken ankle and a sore bum is ok, then I guess I am. I'm at the gymn and I need a lift."
