The Beach

I wander out to the beach and find my place on the big rock. It is here that I come to get away- from all the noise and stress of daily life.

I sit here and breathe in the salty air. In the distance , seagulls cry.

The sounds of the waves crashing on the shore soothes me.

I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of the breeze on my skin.

I treasure the time that  I spend here alone with my thoughts. Tranquility surrounds me.

Soon, the time comes when I must leave. I walk away glancing back to the beach.

I look forward to the time I can return to my peaceful haven.
