Type Set Voice
If people were identifiable by fonts
I'd spot you in a split second.
How could one not recognize
The bold-faced Tahoma
In a shade reminiscent of peas?
I remember colors quite well
I remember shapes okay
But it's the sounds I remember best.
As of late, I have yet to place a sound with the type
I only know you through words
Your voice, right now, is all typeset.
At some point I think I'll need a sound
Of what? I'm not sure.
But I know one thing.
I know I'm going to want more than just
the sometimes rhythmic, often spastic
clickity-tap, tapity-click of impressed keys.
