I am very proud to say I do before I think, therefore the melodious sounding words that escaped my mouth were, "You ... uh ... I ... er ... hm. The thing is ... I ... ahem ... this ... you ... heh ..." Very smooth, I know.
She turned her erotic eyes to the ugly thing I'd almost forgotten about and nodded. The werewolf whimpered and crawled away with his tail between his legs. That's a metaphor. It was HER that had the tail. I stared at it in that beautiful way I do when I look at things that puzzle me.
"My face is up here," she told me.
"I know," I snapped coolly.
"You look at me when I talk to you!" she hissed, bearing fangs that almost nearly rival mine, but obvious are no where near as white and gleaming and sparkly and heart-stopping as mine.
I didn't look at her, I hated doing what people told me to do, so I examined my perfectly manicured nails and whistled some lullaby I wrote a while back for a girl whose name I don't remember.
"I am the leader of the Anti-Smex. My name is Dissonance. You can call me Diss for short."
I let out a bark of laughter, then I inhaled it back because it was too ugly of a sound. I chuckled instead. "My name is The Combination of All My Ancestor's Names Because The Author Forgot What My Real Name is Because It Is Too Long. You can call me The for short."
"Did you have a reason to upset my werewolf, The? Or were you just following the code of The Smex?" Diss asked, tilting her large furry head to one side.
I felt a stirring in my stomach, which I had not used for 2304982304823049 years. Even though she was completely covered with hair, there was something about the way she moved which made my breath catch in my throat, not that I needed to breathe, but it's just a romantic, over-used saying that makes girls swoon.
"It was because I wanted to see you," I said. See. Nothing thinking before I do. That'll get me places, that will.
Her great eyes flared, and the green-ness in them became near yellow.
"Don't play me for a fool, vampire! I know your type. You and the rest of The Smex are all the same, except Michaelps, but I won't tell you why because it's personal! What have you come here for? If you won't tell me I will have to kill you, because that is the way of the two guilds."
The butterflies that had been fluttering around in my stomach suddenly turned into giant ugly hornets, and an anger rose up in my lack-of-a-heart that I'd never felt before. I'd always been friends with Michaelps, the mermaid. I never thought he would sink as low as stealing the love of my life. I thought we were buddies! (;_;)
"Michaelps, huh?" I asked silkily, not giving away my anger. "What is he to you when I, The, am standing in front of you, as glorious as the sun? What can he possibly offer you that I cannot? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"
Diss stared at me.
"I WILL HAVE MY VENGANCE. HE WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH TAKING MY PRIDE FROM ME. I WILL PROVE TO YOU THAT I AM THE BETTER MAN. JUST YOU WAIT!" I roared.
