Prologue

My friend is a witch.

She is afraid of growing old. She has been here for centuries and is posing as a high school student. And when she reaches an old age, she makes herself young again and changes her name, re-enrolls in a school and does it all over again.

My mission is to teach her that death is not a thing to be afraid of.

What some people don't know is that witches have to die at some point, too.

Danielle is posing as a high school student.
But she's really a witch.
She's been living for centuries off of a mythical potion that makes the drinker choose what age they want to live at, and progress in life normally again.
This potion has lasted for centuries.
She has lived since the 1700's.

It is time for her to finally face the light. But she can't do it on her own. I must help her.

She must learn that death is never something to be afraid of.

MAIN CHARACTERS IN "That Sly Smile":

Jacqueline (Jack, Jackie)
Age: 15
Appearance: Long, dark brown hair and clear, fair skin. Is about 5' 7", with eyes that change color; Either green, gray, or shades of blue. Usually wears skinny jeans, sneakers, and Abercombie shirts.
Personality: Kind, but hates secrets being kept from her. She doesn't usually lead and is comfortable with letting someone make choices for her, but will also make her own. Notices small things, which is why she's very good at judging people's characters.

Danielle (Dani)
Age: +300
Appearance: Shoulder-length, choppy caramel colored hair, as if she cut it herself with safety scissors, but still manages to make it look good. Short, maybe only 5' 5" or 5' 6". Her skin is pale and clear, not a freckle or zit in sight. Her eyes are dark brown, like dark chocolate. Usually keeps up with the latest styles.
Personality: Is very secretive and shut off, but is willing to take risks as long as they aren't life-threatening.

Reed
Age: 15
Appearance: Dark brown hair and olive skin. Is very tall, about 6' 2". His eyes are dark blue or ice blue, depending on the lighting. Can usually be found wearing Nikes, blue jeans, and tee shirts.
Personality: Seemingly perfect, except doesn't really know when to make a move on a girl he likes and they end up moving on. He's kind, overachieves, and likes to play sports like basketball and baseball.
