Leo seemed to be pleased with the idea of him and I together in one class. Not as much as Damien would with the idea, but pleased nonetheless. At least, enough for him to sit back up and cancel any plans for a nap session. He grinned, leaning back against his chair and propping his feet up on the desk. Resting the back of his head on his hands which he folded behind his head, he closed one eye, peeking at me with the other one as he asked, "So, how are you liking Damien so far?"
I grimaced. Is that what he wanted to talk to me about?
Grinning at the expression on my face, he added, "Dai comes off a little hard, doesn't he?"
"A little hard?" I made a face. "He's so...so..."
"Infuriating is more like it!" I threw my hands up in the air, pen dropping to the table. Forget Spanish assignments, this is a conversation I wanted to use to vent.
"I beg to differ," Leo scoffed, winking at me. "If you really get to know Damien, I think you'd definitely get some feelings for him."
"Like his plastic admirers from the hallways? Oh please," I snorted at the thought of me being another one of those giggly girls who broke out into deep blushes whenever 'stable boy' was around. "All Damien's been so far is a horrible flirt."
"But face it Makayla, he's certainly accomplished something," Leo added with a knowing grin.
My forehead creased as I frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Point one: All you've been doing so far is talk about him. Point two: You might not love him yet, but you certainly do have strong emotions for him which makes a statement of itself and point three: you've made note of the fact that he's popular."
"So?" I asked, irritated.
Grinning, Leo stated, "You took the interest in researching him."
