"I don't know, she didn't tell me. I think it'll take her a few years to comeback." I said, with a sudden change of mood. "I don't really care about it."
"I'm so sure she'll visit." She replied, as she hands a glass of water to me.
I was quite confident that Lianne won't come back though, she got tons of work. Plus, her family moved with her so, who is here for her to visit? As his "boyfriend" it is my "obligation" to visit her and not her visiting me here. I guess I'm still that gentleman everybody loved about me.
There was not a day that Marianne asked that question, and I couldn't help it but ask the question I've always wanted to ask.
"Why are you asking too much about Lianne anyways?" I asked, trying to sound as calm as possible.
"I'm scared Jon, I wanna be with you and.." She sat down, stressed and terrified. "I don't wanna lose you." She sobbed. I wrapped my arms around her, comforted her. "I can handle this Marianne, don't worry. I won't leave you right?"
She nodded, "Promise me that you won't."
"I promise." I said, with an assuring smile.
Gently, I bent down and kissed her and wrapped her in my arms again.
"I'll never leave you, that's a promise."
