Well, considering you don't quite know your surrounds or the local weather, you decide it would be wise to build a shelter. With a bit of struggle, you take a good look around for various things. You note that the trees are semi-tropical; and semi-tropical meant there could be a range of temperatures and weather. Including some bad storms.
Now, what to make a shelter out of? Well, there were trees, but he doubted he could make a shelter out of them without a blade of some sort. So instead, you start ripping off the large, fan-like leaves from the trees. Luckily, you managed to find a fallen tree, even.
After toil and trouble, you manage to get some vines and produce a barely-decent shelter with your supplies at hand. You never were good with camping, either... Just in time, too; it was starting to get dark, thanks to the clouds overhead.
Though, you decide it would be good to have some sort of weapon, lest some critter attack you. Even if it was small and couldn't do much damage, there was always rabies.
So, a while later, you find yourself sitting under your half-hearted 'shelter', clutching the sharp rock you found. It was raining heavily, the smell of damp soil filling your nostrils. You're hungry, but you don't want to get completely soaked and get sick.
Though that might be the least of your worries. You swear you can hear gentle steps beyond the pitter-patter of the rain. As you listen more, you hear a low, warning growl. You freeze.
Growls never meant anything good.
