Summer's Endmature
I dump the empty box on the pile outside turning and looking up at my new home. I smile brightly. I'm so glad me and my mother have finally got away. I mean I was missing Dad but he had Kenith now and Mum.... I look at the kitchen window seeing her slim fram already busy at the cooker.
I find myself frowning in worry but blink quickly and shake my head. No, she was over it and I should be too. My ringtone goes off in my pocket and I pull it out. A call from Dad.
"Hey, Dad" I say placing it to my ear.
"Hi, love, how's Trish?"
"She's fine, Dad, just.... I don't know I'm worried even though I shouldn't be" I tell him perching on the garden wall at the front of my house. I look out at the gorgeous ocean waves, the sparkling turquoise colour. I close my eyes breathing in the sea breeze.
"...Maddie!"
"What? Huh?" I say my eyes snapping open. I hear my Dad's chuckle through the phone.
"I was saying you just need to relax that was the point of you moving out there"
I sigh. "I know, Dad" I grumble but secretly inside I'm loving it here. I mean who wouldn't love the sun shining every moment and a beach on your doorstep. Some people back at my old school would probably have said me but just cause I rock it in black doesn't make me emo or goth. I'm a slight rocker chick if I must admit.
"Anyway," my Dad continues, "I was just calling to check how you were settling in"
"Good, my boxes for my room are already unpacked" I tell him looking at the pile. "We've got through the kitchen and half the living room as well"
"That's great" my Dad says. I hear a voice in the background.
"Hi, Kenith" I call and hear my Dad chuckle. I hear a vague 'hi' back but its not too clear.
"I should go. Me and Kenith were just about to go to see that new film" my Dad says. I shake my head knowing exactly why they're going. The movie maniac's. "Tell Trish I called"
"Okay" I say. "Bye, Dad"
"Bye, love" he says then the line clicks off. I shove my phone back into my pocket and pushing my hands also into the pockets of my tight ripped up jeans, I take one look at the gorgeous ocean before heading inside. I can't believe this is my home.

I wake up finding a heavy weight on my shoulders and instantly becoming grumpy. A whole day of unpacking boxes does that to you. I smell bread and smile knowing that my mum is already up. Also, that there is fresh bread waiting for me downstairs.
I stand up and head to my clothes dresser where I look at myself in the mirror above it. My raven black hair has gone wild. I knew I should of washed that hairspray out of my hair before going to sleep. I groan and head for the shower. I turn it on and wait for it to warm up before taking off my pjarmes then slipping into the jet of warm water.
I sigh enjoying the feeling of it against my skin. I'm soon out my hair wrapped up in a towel and another wrapped round my body. As I move back into my room I feel the heat and gasp peeking through my blinds to see the blazing sun.
I squeal happy and get dressed first pulling on a bikini before some shorts. Then a sort of over shirt which doesn't cover my belly but my arms and you have to tie at the front. The shirt is the only thing that is white and the rest of my clothing is black.
I then continue to dry my hair which falls to just past my shoulders. It also has a side fringe which hides my right eye and goes over my left. Once dry and straightened I begin to puff it up slightly with hairspray. I then grab some shade slipping them on top of my head before heading down stairs. "Already to hit the beach then?" my mother says with a smile as I walk into the kitchen. I flash a smile back looking out the window seeing tons of kids my age on the beach.
"Well, since it's such a lovely day I thought I'd make the use of it"
