On route to Cape Town…

Mollie slowly opened her eyes when she heard the flight attendant’s voice over the PA “Ladies and gentleman. We are landing at O. R. Tambo airport in about twenty minutes time…” Mollie couldn’t believe that she had done it. For the first time in her life she felt in control of herself and the situation. She was excited and scared at the same time; her hands trembled slightly as she fastens her seatbelt.
Mollie left Heathrow airport yesterday without a send-off from her family. Mollie’s mom shouted at her for an hour and then ignored her when she'd realised she could do nothing to change Mollie’s mind.  Her dad said nothing, and had withdrawn from the situation.  Mollie packed her bags alone crying. She never before felt so vulnerable…
Mollie went through the customs at O.R Tambo Airport in Johannesburg without incident and took a connect flight to Cape Town. The plane touched down at Cape Town International Airport around lunchtime. The arrival hall was busy, and Mollie’s eyes scanned the hall for someone from the agency. Suddenly she saw her name on a handwritten poster carried by a black man. Mollie sighed of relieve and quickly moved towards the man.
“Good morning”, Mollie said as she walked with her hand outstretched to the man. “My name is Mollie Hanson from the UK”, Mollie continued a bit out of breath, wondering why the man has ignored her outstretched hand. Mollie turned around as she heard someone else shouts “Good day mate!” Riley Wynters arrived two days ago from Sydney, Australia. He stayed over at the luxurious “One and Only Hotel” on Cape Town’s waterfront. Riley appeared overdressed with his black leather jacket and black leather boots. Riley ignored the black man and gave Mollie a huge hug.
“Excuse me!” Mollie gasps as she tried to free herself from Riley’s hug. “And who do you think you are?” asked Mollie. Mollie and Riley quickly turn around as they heard the black man said “My name is Tembi, welcome to South Africa”. “Hi, I am Riley Wynthers from Sydney” said Riley while he is loading his baggage on a trolley.
Outside the airport they followed Tembi to a black Mercedes and sped off in a northerly direction…

The End
