"This is The Best Day Ever"
They had him strapped to a hospital bed. Once they got him into an operating room, they started drawing blood and cutting open parts of his body with scalpels. He screamed. They duct taped his mouth so he would shut up.
The doctors left him in that room. He turned over and pulled the curtain back, revealing a beautiful girl. She had long, black hair and hazel eyes. "Hi," he said.
She removed the oxygen mask she was wearing and weakly replied, "Hello."
"I'm Ethan," he said.
"I'm Shannon," she told him. They shook hands. "Nice to meet you."
"We'll get outta here soon. I promise. Trust me."
She shook her head. "No, we won't."
"Yes we will," he assured her. "We will."
They drew close to kissing, but a doctor walked in and said, "Aw, how cute! Two psychotic freaks fell in love." He grabbed a syringe full of a tranquilizing chemical. "Now they must sleep." He injected them both and they slept.
Ethan woke up some hours later. He got out of his bed and woke up Shannon. "Come on," he whispered. "It's time for us to get outta here."
They kissed, and she said, "Okay." He helped her out of the bed and opened the door a crack. Ethan peered out and gave the thumbs-up sign. They ran down the hallway. The gray hue of the corridor made Ethan wonder where they were. There weren't any other rooms like regular asylums. They got to the end of the hall when they realized that they weren't in an asylum. They were part of a circus act. Workers were wandering about, tidying up for the next show. Shannon and Ethan crept to a small tent. Inside was a computer and some notebooks. Ethan opened up one of the notebooks labeled "Operations." The first page was a drawing of the Ferris wheel with a large crate of bombs in each seat. "They wanna blow up the circus along with it's guests," Ethan said.
They crept towards the Ferris wheel. Only a handful of the seats had explosives in them. Ethan took a wrench from underneath the operating counter and placed it between some gears of the wheel. Then he turned to Shannon and said, "Now we gotta run."
She nodded and they ran.
They stopped at the top of the Delgate Plateau and watched the real freak show erupt in an aura of flame and bodies.
