Star Light.

"Yildez. You have been chosen to protect our charge planet, Earth." a soft, soothing, and gender less voiced breathed inside my head. "Be strong and cautious, young one. There are dark forces at work. We will be watching over you."

With the end of those words, I came into conscious existence and  aware of a sensation like hurdling from a great height at a high speed. A intense heat began to form. Suddenly, a bright, purple flame surrounded me. I felt no pain, only warmth. 

My first thought came at this time. I am, my mind whispered in awe, I exist. Then an impact that caused severe, shooting pain stole my thoughts away

I was brought to a drowsy state of semi-consciousness by a light jostling."You're sure this is THE Yildez? She doesn't even look old enough to drive. Let alone save an entire planet from destruction." I heard a crass sounding female's voice say.

"This is the time and place they said she'd arrive. Also, she was laying in a crater the size of a large pond. Bigger than either of ours, I might add. I'd say this is our girl."a male voice exclaimed. The female voice began to reply but I was already lost to the world again.

"Wake up, dear. You've been out for almost ten hours. It's time for you to get up." said the male voice gently as he touched my shoulder.

I groaned and shook him off. 

"Yildez. We don't have time for this. We have to get you through orientation in the next six hours so we can start your training in time. Plus, I bet you're starving." As if cued, my stomach let out a long, loud growl and the man laughed. "Open your eyes."

I did and was greeted to the sight of a very handsome, very human face inches from my face. "Hello." he said  blue eyes twinkling. "I'm Charles. Hesperos, if you want to go by my star name."

"Hello." I croaked, my voice hoarse from not being used. Ever. I cleared my throat and finished. "I'm Yildez."

He smiled and straightened his body providing me with a better view of him. He had full head of dark blonde hair that ended above his ears. His lips,  a little on the thinner side, sat below a straight, wide nose. His eyes were a deep, vivid blue that sparkled when he smiled and revealed his perfect teeth. All of this was surrounded by a very masculine, strong jawline, "Well, Yildez, we'll have to pick you out a human name later. For now, you need to get dressed and eat some breakfast so we can get started." 

I nodded and began to rise. "There are clothes on the chair. The bathroom's through the door there." he said gesturing to each location. "I'll be downstairs in the kitchen fixing you a meal. Meet me there when you are through."

"Thank you." I said as he closed the door softly. 

"No, Thank you." Charles said and then he was gone. Leaving me to figure out the complexities of readying myself for the day.
