sorry i couldnt stay
it was a beutiful sun shining day
with many things to say
i enjoyed it alot playing with the children
smiling and laughing away
yet i couldnt stay
i had to go away
it was lovely to see everyone joining in
drinking cups of tea and eating cream cakes
yet sory i couldnt stay
i longed for this day
yet my legs took over me and i walked out the door
im sorry i couldnt tell you before
it wasnt the right way to go
it wasnt the right thing to do
but im sorry i couldnt stay
to see the tears oi could not bear
i had to leave before it turned to dispair
i couldnt cope with losing my hair
i know it was abad thing ti do
but im sorry i couldnt stay today
