I was about to reply to his rather unneeded comment before a sudden headache struck. It seemed that I had pushed myself too much as of late and this was probably because of that. Looking down, I saw that my hand was still being held by his. I wasn't sure why I couldn't think at this moment, but I was pretty sure that he was to blame. Darek held my attention until the chill in the air started to bother me. I knew I had been outside for too long and that I would suffer the consequences soon. My state was much too fragile for such a thing and I knew that I couldn't be pushing myself like I had been recently. I slowly pulled away and turned to go back inside. With a sharp inhale of breath, I felt my lungs reject it and I found myself in a miserable coughing fit. I soon tasted blood and I struggled to catch my breath. My vision became blurry for a few minutes. For that moment, I'd forgotten about his presence, but I was reminded that he was there when he'd held me up after I nearly fell over.
“Are you okay?” He seemed rather upset.
“I need to go back inside.” I managed to reply.
“I didn't know you were sick.”
“Don't lie. Is anyone helping you?”
“I don't need help.” I said bitterly.
“No one's home with you?”
“This is pointless. I don't need to tell you anything.”
“I know, but can you please let me help in some way?”
“I'm going back inside. Please don't bother me again.”
“Hey, you asked me to come here. I was only doing what you wanted.”
I didn't reply to him as I kept my back turned. The amount of pain I was feeling from strain and possible infection was causing my mood to be more sour than usual. I didn't know why I didn't want to take out this new found anger on him.
“I'm sorry.” I mumbled under my breath.
“Do you want me to stay with you?”
“It's not a question of if I want it...”
“Is that a yes?”
Due to my fatigue, I couldn't answer him any way that was comprehensible. I walked up to the door and held it open for him.
“Just fallow me.” I said hesitantly.
“I suggest you fallow me before I change my mind.”
“Okay, okay.” He sighed.
