That hour passed up faster then I needed it to, I rushed down the stairs putting my earrings in. I wanted to be comfortable at the drive in, so I put on my favorite pair of jeans and black spaghetti strapped top. When I opened the door Nathan was already sitting of the porch waiting.
"Wow you look beautiful," he says as we walk to his car. "But wait, turn around for a second," he requests and I do. He reached over my head and clasp the black heart necklace around my neck. I can't believe he bought it, no wonder the bathroom took so long.
"Thank you, but you didn't have to," I blushed.
"I know I wanted to," he whispered in my ear. It brought butterflies to my stomach, but I shook it off and followed him to the car.
When we arrived at the movies we had two choices, a love story or a comedy. He chose the love story surprisingly. We chose a spot to park and got out of the car.
He slid a quilt across the front hood and motioned for me to have a seat. Then he sat down next to me and leaned back on the windshield. The light breeze sent his cologne passed my nose and I got goose bumps. It felt like I was on fire, and I could feel my heart speeding up again. I tired to change the subject to take my mind from ripping his clothes of right there on the hood of the car.
"So are you excited about the Casino opening?" I ask him
"Yeah I suppose," he said plainly.
"You don't sound like it," I tapped his arm.
"I am, " he replied. "It's just I kind of got talked into to it by my mother, and I had other plans."
"Other plans like what," I inquired very curious.
"Well I would of liked to travel a little before settling in to such a commitment," he breathed out.
"You still can, " I encouraged him.
"There are so many things you don't know about my past, and you might think differently of me," he looked away. I wasn't sure hoe to answer that, but I couldn't ignore it either.
" Everyone has I past, " I finally mustered up.
"Yes, but mine is complicated," he trailed off as the movie started. Just in time to, I could tell this conversation was making him feel awkward. He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder.
I must have dozed of, when I opened my eyes he was staring into my eyes. "I'm so sorry, I fell asleep?" I asked. I looked up and saw the credits rolling, shoot I thought as I cringed my face up.
"It's fine its just a movie, besides you look adorable when you sleep," He teased.
I was just about to say something smart when his lips landed on mine. His tongue slid into my mouth, and he slid his fingers threw my hair. I was lost in his kiss, it all happened so fast. When he pulled back he asked me,"Will you remember that kiss?"
My face turned red and I replied, "Yes I believe so."
We held hands on the way home, throwing glances at each other every few minutes then giggling. It was like I was in high school all over again on my first date, only I didn't have a curfew. When we pulled up the drive we noticed the light were off in both our house, so we sat outside for a while in his back yard.
His voice broke moments of silence,"So, have I proved myself to be your boyfriend yet?"
"I don't know I think I need another kiss, " I flirted.
"For you anything," he said as his lips met my neck.
