Training- ElodieMature

I jumped back to my new home with my new brother Stone and my new father Caspar. Did it seem weird that there were no other girls around? Yeah, it kind of did. But I had Riana and Isabelle to talk to if I wanted to. I made up my mind to go to school tomorrow, and Stone was just going to have to shove it up his butt because I wasn’t going to change my mind.

“Stone, I’m going to school tomorrow.” I announced as he walked into my new purple room. Stone nodded.

“I figured you were going to say that. So I’m going to teach you how to make a Time Barrier. To whoever is allowed access to the barrier by the creator, time stops once they are both in the barrier but time continues within the barrier, ok?”

I nodded, sort of getting it but sort of confused.

“Ok, so how do you make one?” I asked. Stone smiled.

“Just imagine a barrier encasing you and whoever else you want in there. Be careful. Sometimes your mind knows you better than you think and will let other people in that you didn’t even know.”

I closed my eyes and imagined a barrier encasing me and only me. I opened my eyes and looked over at Stone to see whether it had worked or not. His face was scrunched up. I wrote a little note and put it in his pocket before returning to my spot. I imagined the barrier being broken down. I opened my eyes. Stone’s face relaxed and he stared at me with expectation drawn on his face.

“We are sitting more than an arm’s length apart from each other. I wouldn’t be able to reach you without you realising it, right? Check your pocket, scrunchie.” I said. Stone put his hand in his pocket and pulled out my note. He read it and then frowned.

“Yo bro, nice face?” He asked me sadly. I smirked and scrunched my face up like his was.

“Scrunchie,” I said brightly. Stone stared at me stonily. I grinned at him.

“Right, well, it looks like that’s enough training for you now.” Stone said gruffly. He walked out of my room and I lay back on my new bed, wondering what life would have been like if the lady who had taken care of me for 15 years actually was my mother and I was never educated about me being a Time Jumper.

I sighed. I couldn’t do anything about it though, and really, life as a Time Jumper was pretty badass.

The End
