There was a knock at the door. Jocelyn ran to it, glad her brothers weren't home. She opened the door to find the happy Luke. "Hey," she said smiling.
"Hey, darling. Ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go."
"You're going to need a coat."
"Um, okay." She grabbed one and followed him to his car. They drove to the middle of no where listening to the music she couldn't stand. He got out of the car and put down a blanket. He waved for her to come. She got out and walked over to him, "What's going on?"
He smiled. He grabbed her by the hips and pulled her down onto his lap. He pointed up. In the sky was a meteor shower. "That's what," he whispered in her ear.
She smiled, "It's beautiful."
"Just like you." They watched it for a while. Suddenly, Luke slid out from under her. Next thing she knew, he was on one knee. Jocelyn couldn't remember how to breathe when he started to speak. "Jocelyn, I know you're young, but I also know that I love you. I'm going to collage soon. I don't want to leave you, and I don't want you to leave me. I guess I'm getting off the subject so I'll just say it. Will you marry me?"
She stopped breathing. She felt tears come, a smile widen across her face, and her breath come back. "Of course!" she said and hugged him.
He let out a sigh of relief and kissed her. They spent the rest of the night together, doing things that Jocelyn knew her brothers would murder Luke for.
