The man opposite me looked exactly like you'd expect a mass murderer to look.
He was tall and very well built, you could see serious muscles under his shirt. I suppose he was kind of good looking, in a rugged way, with a square jaw and dark eyes. He had a huge scar running from his forehead to his chin, it distorted left side of his face.
His expression was frustrated, and slightly bored, but when he locked his eyes on me it went to shocked recognition. Then his mouth curved into a smile, it was the sort of smile a crocodile made before it lunged.
I jumped, starting to leave. "Uh, I think theres been a mist-"
"Aria." I stopped, turning back to the man. He'd leant forward, folding his arms in front of him, smiling the crocodile smile.
"H-How do you know my name?" I stammered.
"Oh I know you. You don't know me though, and it's going to stay that way until I know you a bit better."
Despite the fact I was behind bullet proof glass, and I noticed he had large metal cuffs encasing his hands, there was a policeman outside and I was completely safe; I felt terrified of this man.
"I'm not telling you anything." I said, surprisingly my voice remained steady. I knew I should run from this man, but I stayed firmly in my seat, watching him.
He laughed, harshly. "Oh I know as much as I need to, but I am curious, why would you come to me? I was going to catch up with you sooner or later, but you made it so much easier."
"I didn't come to you- well, I came here but I thought that-"
"Nothing." I looked away, meeting his eyes made me feel like he could see deep into me, know everything about me. Jax was a Shadow Shifter, but the power I felt radiating from this guy was far more dangerous and real.
"You thought I was your little Shadow Shifter friend did you? What was his name again... Dax, Max?"
"Jax." I mouthed unconsciously.
"Ah yes, Jax wasn't it? I remember him. Trust him did you? Well clearly you have no idea of what your dealing with, coming here to say goodbye to him. Sweet."
"I'm leaving." I stood and backed away, reaching for the door. Panic washed over me, every second I spent with this guy, he seemed to know more about me. His dark eyes searched my face, mockingly.
"Oh and Aria sweetheart, I know about your Okan. It's great to be one of the bad guys isn't it?"
