Shift Change

"Stephane, sweetie, I miss you but so long as you're still domesticated, the answer is no," I purred into my phone as I shaved my legs.  Aidan was due to arrive in ten minutes, so Stephane was a nice idea but no more.

I didn't expect  Aidan to get there an hour late, which meant that Michael (whom I hadn't really told Aidan I had planned to see, well, later) started calling up from the lobby around 9.

That wouldn't have been quite so embarrassing if I hadn't asked Aidan to split the cost of the hotel room.
