Rin walked through the open door, confused, back into the main hall. She had heard banging and screaming. Now...there was silence. Her blood ran cold, as she saw a patch of fresh blood on the pale carpet.
She didn't dare go through any of the other doors. Not till the other return. She walked along the corridor, innocent to the eyes that watched her from above. She found a door with a small window in it. She tried to look through the window.
A staircase. Hope filled her. She looked back, and the long hall felt even longer. She went back to the first door. She knocked.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Rin?" Came a voice back. Ray. Rin pushed open the door, and Ray ran out, and they pulled each other into a frantic embrace. Sharing a kiss never felt so reassuring. "Sweetheart, we have to go. We've got to get them and go." He told her.
"We need to find Len!"
"That's what I mean! We need to grab Len and that Kaito boy and go!" He exclaimed. Rin blinked.
"What about...Seline and Salvator? We need to find them."
"No. It's too late."
"What...do you mean?" Rin asked.
"Rin, my love, my angel, I'm going to tell you something now, and you have to listen." He said. The two of them sat down on the pale floor. "The House. It talked to me, in the four days I was in there-"
"Four days?! How? We've barely been here half hour!" Rin exclaimed. Ray put a finger to her lips. She gulped, waiting for him to continue, and he did.
