Georgia struggled but the knife dug harder into her flesh. Small droplets of blood started to form. She felt herself dragged backwards into the closet and the door slammed shut.
"Georgia?" Mr Agana went into the kitchen.
Georgia kicked at the closet door as hard as she could, struggling against her assailant like a wildcat.
As his grip slackened, Georgia let out a violent scream, bringing the guards in. The first guard held back Mr Agana while the second flung open the closet door.
"Let her go" commanded the second guard. The first released Mr Agana and took out his mobile, ringing for help.
He surrendered, flinging Georgia into the guard's arm and then dashing out of the closet and down the hallway, the guard in hot pursuit. Outside, he ran straight into a police constable who disarmed him, handing the knife to the first guard.
"John Stockton I am arresting you for the murders of Gazini Jang, Cecilia and Aleesha and the attempted murder of Georgia Agana. You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you fail to mention under questioning anything you may rely on in court."
"So we didn't really have much to do by the end." Veronica put down her tea.
"No". Michael put his hands on her shoulders. "All sorted by the police and the guards."
"The man was a maniac". Alfred crossed his ankles. "Did you see his secret red cellar on the news?"
"I don't want to think about it". Roxy stifled a yawn with her hand. "Oh I'm sorry".
"Good thing we all have a week off to rest and relax. I don't think I have enough energy even to read a book or go for a drink until tomorrow."
"FBI work is tough" Michael mused "But it is very rewarding."
Ronnie nodded in agreement.
