Sadie White

OK, so this is actually a draft for my English homework. It's a retale of Snow White and The Seven Dwarves...

I dragged myself up seven floors of flats and rang the doorbell of number 77. It was almost eleven o'clock on a Friday night and I had travelled from way out in the country to the heart of Glasgow. The two hour train drive that had followed one long day had left me exhausted, so I was very relieved when the door swung open.

"Sadie!" I was greeted with  deafening shriek, then my vision was completely obscured by a large amount of bouncy black hair. It was my best friend, Jennie. "How are you? Where have you been? We've not seen you in ages!"

"Hey Jennie! " I said, grinning. Jennie is one of those people who make you smile, whatever you're feeling. "I'm fine! How are you? What have you been up to? How's the girls?"

"They're good, I'm fine, just in from some shopping! Come in, come in!" She chattered on, getting my bag and pulling me inside. "Sit down! Gosh, you;re freezing! Poppy? Poppy! Get Sadie some coffee!" Jennie dashed off.

I smiled and looked around me. The flat was quite big, but very cosy. I could see through the open doors into two bedrooms, each sleeping three, and a tiny kitchen. Squashy sofas and comfy rugs around the room I was in, with photographs and posters covering the walls. I breathed a sigh of relief. For me, this was my "happy place". This was home.

The End
