Lessons, Suspicion. (Peder)

"When I strike at your feet, jump then strike at me. Got it?" Drake instructed. We'd been doing several new moves I'd never done but seen before. It looked hard, but it wasn't.

"Ok, I'm ready." I got into fighting stance and Drake did the same across from me. When he struck, I jumped over his sword and struck at him. I got one nick into his armor before he parried and made me back up.

"Nice!" Destiny called from the sidelines. "Let's see you do it again!"

"Alright!" I managed to swing around so Drake could strike. When he did, I jumped and we repeated what we did before.

"Alright. Looks like you got that down." Drake pulled his helmet off and wiped the sweat off his brow. I swallowed and noticed I was panting.

"Wow. I didn't even notice getting tired."

"That'll happen. Get over here and get some water. You two together are going to make a lake!" Destiny set aside her sewing into her saddlebag. For once she was using a saddle on Moonlight. Reaching into the saddlebag on the other side, she pulled out a canteen with water in it. "Here, drink your fill." She handed it to me then pulled out another one. Instead of handing it to Drake, she first dumped some on his head.

"Very nice. Can I have it now?" Drake took it from her and drank some.

"Think you two have done enough yet?" Destiny raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah. We can do some more tomorrow." Drake answered and pulled himself onto Blazer.

"Alright." I answered and handed my canteen to Destiny before pulling myself onto my own horse.

Later that day after dinner, Destiny went to bed suspiciously early. Drake looked troubled.

"What's up?" I asked him as I sat down on the couch.

"Destiny's worrying me."

"How?"

"She going to bed early, and she took a lasso with her."

"Why?"

"I don't know!" Drake stood up. "I'm going to think about it while I try to go to sleep. Good night."

"Good night." I stood up and went to bed as well.

The End
