One of my favorite love songs is " Le Vie en Rose" by Edith Piaf
Whenever I hear this song. I want to waltz around my room! It brings me back to a time where women were classy and men were suave. It just such a beautifully simple song. That can only be song in french by Edith.
And ofcourse I can't forget about " Dance me to the end of love" By Leonard Cohen
I read this in the newspaper awhile back...the writer was saying that Leonard was the only seventy year old man who could convince women to give him more than just a sponge bath.
Again another song perfect for waltzing and swooning. I love how Leonard Cohen writes. I especially like the phrases " Lift me up like an olive branch and be my homeward dove" and " Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove" and " Let me see your beauty when all the witnesses are gone. " and " Show me slowly what I only know the limits of"
He paints a beautiful picture of long lasting love. Again I love the feeling of elegance and glamour.
And finally " Love Song" by The Cure. This song emodies everything I think love should be. The song to me is saying just because the relationship is over doesn't mean love is. My love might change but it will never end. Love isn't suppose to end. I don't think your suppose to just all of a sudden severe the ties. I think you should still be there for one another and support each other. It doesn't seem natural to me to just end things and then never see each other again. This person has been apart of your life for so long and perhaps knows things about you that you've never told anyone else.
